DESCRIPTION:

○ The West Highway, the artery that once connected Zancudo to Paleto, now lies like a skeleton of cracked asphalt, long since abandoned to fate… or rather, to utter abandonment. Rusted signs still point to destinations no one travels anymore, while the wind carries dust and memories along a road that has forgotten what traffic is.

○ The mountain road that winds between Tongva Hills and Banham Canyon, once alive with the roar of engines and the echo of brakes on tight turns, now lies in an almost reverential silence. No traffic for some time now, the worn asphalt is guarded by stillness and a few abandoned vehicles, parked as if still waiting for the invisible traffic light to give them the order to move forward.

○ Nature, as always, has seized the opportunity: the undergrowth begins to take over the lines of the pavement as if they were its own, and the trees lean over the road as if trying to close it in with a green embrace. On a forgotten bend, a small military border zone remains solitary, so devoid of activity that not even the crows bother to inspect it twice.

○ It is a landscape where time seems to have ironically stopped: a road made for speed, condemned to immobility. And while everything crumbles in slow motion, the mountain watches with the tranquility of someone who has seen the cycle repeat itself too many times.
